Working Women's Centres provide information, support, advice and advocacy services to women on work-related issues. There are Working Women's Centres in:
- Northern Territory
- South Australia
- Queensland
There are both federal Australian laws as well as state and territory laws that affect workers in Australia.
Australians are once again in a state of change with their industrial relations laws. Some industrial relations reforms were made by the new Labor government in March 2008. Yet more new laws are intended to come into operation in July 2009. Working Women’s Centres will keep up to date about changes and how they will impact on women in the workforce.
For information on how this affects you contact the Working Women's Centre in your state or territory. You can find out more about the Centres and what we do in 'about us' or go to our 'more help' page.
Some sections of our site are currently being rewritten because of changes to the laws.
